ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST

Each of the elementary classroom teachers has prepared a list of school supplies that their students will need when school begins in September. Although not listed individually under each classroom/grade level, children will also need sneakers on physical education days. Sneakers with white soles are preferred (in an effort to decrease the number of black marks on the gymnasium floor).
We hope that everyone has an enjoyable and relaxing summer vacation and look forward to seeing you in September!
KINDERGARTEN:
Crayons: We will begin the year supplying all children with a box of crayons. (Mrs. Knowles’ students will need an 8 pack of Twistable Crayons). Backpack or Tote Bag: Each child needs to bring a backpack or tote bag to school each day to carry home papers, art projects and miscellaneous items. Please remember to buy full-size backpacks that the children can open and close – no long strings, please. Zippered ones seem to be the easiest. Sneakers: sneakers are only needed on Physical Education days. A calendar showing physical education classes will be sent home each month. Sneakers with white soles are preferred. Travel Pillow: parents will want to purchase a small travel-size pillow and pillowcase to fit in cubbies. No full-size pillows please, as they will not fit in cubbies. Kleenex: One large box. Also, from September 6 – 21, our kindergartners will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Lunch will be served before dismissal. Beginning Monday, September 24, 2007 they will be dismissed at our regular dismissal time of 2:31 p.m.
SINGLE GRADE ONE:
Pencils: A minimum of three #2 pencils in school at all times. One large pencil eraser. (Put your name on eraser). One Paper Folder with Pockets (not loose-leaf/organizer) to bring home. Must have every day. One Box of Crayons: 24 only please! Most first graders will need their second set around February. Large Backpack/Book Bag: Must have every day. White Elmer’s Glue: 4 oz. Bottle and one Glue Stick. Scissors. Crayon/Pencil Box with Handles: to hold pencils, crayons, glue and scissors. (Flat enough to fit in cubby) – Please put name on box. Kleenex: One large box.
SINGLE GRADE TWO:
Pencils: Two packages of #2 pencils. Two Large Pencil Erasers or One Package of Pencil Top Erasers. Two Glue Sticks. One Pair of Small Scissors. Small Pencil Box: to hold pencils, glue and scissors. Crayola Twistables – one package of 8 (primary colors). One Box of Sandwich size Ziploc Bags. $5.00: for magazine subscription. One Spiral Notebook – Single Subject. Kleenex: One large box.
MULTI-AGE GRADES ONE/TWO:
Pencils: 2 packages of #2 pencils. One Glue Stick. One large pencil eraser. Scissors. One Box of Sandwich size Ziploc Bags. Crayola Twistables: one package of 8 (primary colors only). $7.00: for magazine subscription and home/school folder. One pack of 3 x 5 cards. One Spiral Notebook. Kleenex: one large box.
SINGLE GRADE THREE:
Pencils: 3 packages of #2 pencils (10-12 in each). Crayons: 24 or smaller. Three packages of loose-leaf paper. Five Pocket Folders Without Holes: 1 Red, 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Green, 1 Orange. Centimeter/Inch Ruler. Two Spiral One-Subject Notebooks. One Black and White Marbled Composition Notebook. One Highligher. $8.00: social studies magazine subscription. Scissors. Two Glue Sticks. Kleenex: One large box.
SINGLE GRADE FOUR:
Pencils: 4 packages (10-12 pencils in each package) to be used for class-community pencils. (NO PENS). Colored Pencils. Crayons: 8-color set is fine. Four Folders with Pockets: One blue, One purple, One red, One green. Supply of Loose-leaf Paper. Two Centimeter/Inch Rulers: One for school and one for home. 3” x 5” Index Cards: Three (3) packages of ruled white cards. One Glue Stick. One Pair of Small Scissors. One Highlighter. Kleenex: Two Large Boxes. $8.00: for weekly newspaper.
MULTI-AGE GRADES THREE/FOUR:
Pencils: 4 packages (10-12 pencils in each package) to be used for class-community pencils. (NO PENS). Crayons: 8-color set is fine. Two Glue Sticks: Solid type. One Pair of Small Scissors. Plastic Box: to hold items. Centimeter/Inch Ruler: For home use. 3” x 5” Index Cards: One package of ruled white cards. Loose-leaf Paper and Folder to hold it. Another Folder for homework with Two Pockets Inside: (with pockets along the bottom). Money: for news/reading magazine subscription (grade 4 only needs $8.00). Two Black and White Composition Notebooks. NO large binders or trapper keepers, mechanical pencils or markers please! Kleenex: Two large boxes.
SINGLE GRADE FIVE:
Pencils. Colored Pencils. Pencil Sharpener: (with cover). 2 Blue Pens. Scissors. Large Eraser. Highlighter. One Small Plastic Box for Supplies. 2 packages: wide-ruled loose-leaf paper. 2 three or five subject notebooks: Blue - Math; Yellow – Social Studies. 10 Folders with Pockets: (5 for 1st semester and 5 for 2nd semester): 2 Blue, 2 Green, 2 Red, 2 Yellow, 2 Orange. Backpack. Snack: $10.00 or ($1.00 per month). $4.00 for School Planner. $5.00 for magazine subscriptions. Kleenex: 2 boxes. (No large binders or trapper keepers, mechanical pencils or “fancy” pens please!)
SINGLE GRADE SIX:
General: Blue Pens, Pencils, Eraser, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Two Glue Sticks, Scissors, Protractor, Ruler, Compass, Small Container to hold these items. Loose-leaf Paper: 2 Packages. 5 Folders: any color 3 Single-Subject Notebooks: any color. $4.50 - School Planner. Kleenex: One box.
MULTI-AGE GRADES FIVE/SIX:
Kleenex: Two large boxes. Looseleaf Paper: two packages wide-ruled, 100 sheets. Blue Pens, Pencils and Colored Pencils. 4 Single-Subject Notebooks: 1 each of red, black, green, purple. Multi-Subject Notebook: One blue. One Marbled Composition Notebook. 4 Pocket Folders: 1 each of red, green, purple, blue. One Pocket Folder: your choice. $3.00: for homework planner. $10.00: for two magazine subscriptions. $10.00: for snacks ($1.00 per month).
