Junior and Senior Band Grading Policy

	Points	Description
Rehearsal Grade	20	Based on being on time, prepared, and actively and productively participating in each rehearsal.
Playing Tests	20	Given at the end of every ten weeks.
Written Tests/ Homework	20	These will include in-class and take-home quizzes and writing assignments.
Lesson Grade	40	Any missed lesson will be counted as a 0. The lowest lesson grade is dropped each marking period. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange a make-up lesson.
Extra Credit	Up to 10	Extra credit can be received for typing a one-page review of a concert you attend. A program of the concert should be submitted with the review. Up to 2 points for each review.
