Microsoft A+

Course Description

The Microsoft A+ Class is designed to teach students the skills necessary to become computer technicians.   The course has two parts much like the Cisco Curricula, and in-class discussion portion based on book readings, and a repair component.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of High School Computers is required before taking this class.

Assignments

All reading assignments will be expected to be completed before the begining of each class.  All repair assignments are given on an as needed basis.

Grading Policy

Grading is proportionally based on a combination of the students' reading quiz, and exam grades as will as repair work grades based on the repair rubric.

Rubrics

Students will be graded on their repair work.  I will place each student on a list in order by points awarded by their supervisor.

1.) Quality and thoroughness of the work done.       Total possible 50 pts.

25 pts. if someone has to go back and finish a sloppy job.

0 pts if they totally screwed things up!

2.) Demeanor and professionalism          Total possible 50 pts.

50 pts. They are courteous and quiet in the halls, and very aware of themselves trying to avoid disrupting classes by whispering, knocking before entering, using manners. They stay on task!

25pts. They are quiet and on task in the classroom but are not quiet in the halls or vice versa.

0 pts. Are not on task without you redirecting, not as quiet as they could be in the halls.

50 pts. if the job is perfect.
