The Week of Ahead September 8-12

Welcome to the new semester and Grade Ten English. We will begin with a review of literary terms and move into our Short Story Unit. We will spend some time reviewing our writing skills, and our first writing piece will be a Creative Writing assignment. All attempts will be made to keep our web page current.

Period One:

Monday: Book of Choice due, Literary Terms & Vocabulary Unit 1&2, Quiz on Course Syllabus, "Johanna," Introduce Reaction Guide; Homework: 

Tuesday: "Monkey's Paw,"; Homework: Reaction Guide "Monkey's Paw"

Wednesday: Short Story notes on "Monkey's Paw," "The Birthmark"; Homework: Finish "The Birthmark" if needed

Thursday: "The Birthmark" short story notes; Homework: Study for Vocabulary Quiz 1&2

Friday:  Vocabulary 1&2, "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge,"; Homework: Reaction Guide "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge"
