Rotary Purple Heart Scholarship (Northern New York Community Foundation) Until all funds are awarded Must be a resident of Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence County who was awarded a Purple Hear or be the dependent of one (spouse or child). Must be a full-time undergraduate student. Students who will be attending technical schools are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted from high school seniors for freshman year of college as well as students are in any year in college or technical school.  
Ned Carter Scholarship 3/4/2017 Student MUST be related to a firefighter, be a firefighter or be an explorer in a fire department, that is a member of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York. Must be graduating in June 2016 and pursuing a post-secondary career in the community service-related areas of endeavor at either a two or four year college next year. FASNY 3/15/2017 Must be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member. Attend high school as a senior who is enrolled in the fall 2016 school year at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning or an accredited technical post-secondary school. Serve as a current junior firefighter, explorer or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer department, a volunteer firefighter or volunteer with an EMS unit. Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship DKG 3/19/2017 Any female high school senior with an 85 average or higher who will be attending college preparing for a teaching career should apply. $500
AARP Chapter 2831 Scholarship 3/24/2017 The St. Lawrence County Chapter 2831 of the American Association of Retired Persons is offering two scholarships of $200.00 each to qualified high school seniors who qualify. Candidates must: 1. Plan for a higher education in 2 or 4 year institution. 2. Show evidence of need for financial help. 3. Provide a transcript of 3 1/2 years high school records (IMPORTANT). 4. Prepare a brief essay on your goals for the future. 5. Be willing to speak briefly at the AARP meeting in May. Must be received by 3/25/16 or will not be considered. Applications are in the Guidance Office. $200
Freshman Scholarship Northern New York Community Foundation, INC. 4/1/2017 Applicants must be a resident of a St. Lawrence County school district, full-time undergraduate student, students who will be attending a technical school are eligible to apply, high school senior. Selection for freshman scholarships are based upon academic achievement and personal data. This is a one-year award. Not Listed
10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) Scholarship 4/1/2017 Applicant must be current or former 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) member or the Family Member of one (spouse or child). Up to $5,000 for one year
Canton Goldenaires Scholarship 4/1/2017 Canton Goldenaires Scholarship Program is for Graduating High School Seniors in St. Lawrence County who are planning to continue their education. The amount of the funds available each year is determined by the results of the annual "Singing Valentines" fund raising program and the qualified applicants chosen for the award(s). To be determined
Dave Corse Memorial Scholarship 4/7/2017 This scholarship will be awarded at the high school's Awards Night. It will be given to a student that will attend a 2 year or 4 year college, majoring in Environmental Education, Environmental Studies, Recreation or Forestry. Applications can be picked up in the Guidance office. $500-1 awarded
Zonta Club of Canton Millie Post Scholarship 4/30/2017 Awarded to a graduating senior showing good leadership skills and dedication to service. All applications must be submitted by April 30th. See Guidance Office for an application. $600
Untied Helpers-Society of the Untied Helpers 4/19/2017 Scholarships are available to any high school senior in St. Lawrence County who desires to continue his/her education in the health care field. The professions will be considered for the Helen S. Randles Scholarship are: Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dieticians, Clinical Psychology and Physicians Assistant. $750-3 awarded
Roger Favro Memorial Scholarship 4/21/2017 Applicant Must be seeking enrollment at an accredited college/university in a law related program, a St. Lawrence County resident, GPA of 85% or above, submit a current transcript, have a letter of recommendation from her/his, counselor or teacher, essay (150-500 words) on why their chosen field is important to the legal system and why they chose it. (2) $500
Gwen Putnam Scholarship 4/30/2017 This scholarship is in memory of Gwen Putnam (Former Zonta Member) to a deserving graduating senior with a distinguished academic record. $600
The New York State Retired Teachers' Association, Inc. 5/3/2017 Two $400 scholarships will be awarded by the Northern Zone of New York State Retired Teachers' Association --one to a St. Lawrence County student, the Ross Hudson Memorial, and one to a Franklin County student, the Janet Dana Memorial. Any high school senior pursuing a career in the teaching profession is eligible. (2) $400
SeaComm Shirley J. Eagles Scholarships 2017 5/5/2017 Ten $500 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students from our charter area, St. Lawrence County, Franklin County and Clinton County. Qualifications for applying include a grade point average of 85 or higher and being a member, or son/daughter/legal ward of a member in good standing and plan to attend college. (10) $500
Nichole Davis Scholarship 5/5/2017 There will be two scholarships offered, one for a Lisbon Central School senior and one for a Northern New York Senior. To be determined
Got a Spine Scholarship 6/2/2017 To be eligible for the scholarship a student must be attending a college or university full-time no later than October of 2016 and have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year. Global Lift Equipment Scholarship 6/15/2017 The Global Lift Equipment is offering (1) $500 award. To be eligible for the scholarship a student must be currently attending or planning on attending a post-secondary institution in Canada or the US by no later than the Fall of 2016, submit a short story (Detailed instructions can be found on the application page) and Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Lift Parts Express Scholarship 6/30/2017 To be eligible for the scholarship a student must be a current high school senior or a freshmen or sophomore in college/university and enrolled or expected t be enrolled by the Fall of 2017. New York State Achievement and Investment in Merit Scholarship May-17 Applicant must be a legal resident of NYS and have resided in NYS for 12 continuous months, be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, graduate from a NYS high school in the class of 2016, enroll as a full time student in an eligible NYS college for the fall 2016 term, and have achieved at least two of the following during high school, graduated with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or above; have graduated "with honors" on a New York State Regents diploma or receive a score of 3 or higher on tow or more Advanced Placement (or AP) examinations, have graduated within the top 15% of his or her high school class. $500
NYS Scholarships for Academic Excellence   Students must: have graduated from a New York State high school, study full time and be matriculated in an approved undergraduate program of study in a New York State post secondary institution, be in good standing, Not be in default of any state or federal student loan or on any repayment of state awards, be a U.S. citizen or qualifying noncitizens and be a New York State resident. Up to $1500 per year, up to 5 years
SUNY Oswego Possibility Scholarship   This scholarship is awarded to a Senior and covers tuition, room, board, and fees for 4 years at SUNY Oswego, in coordination with other merit and need-based aid, including a summer research opportunity and international study abroad experience. It supports high-achieving and financially disadvantaged students from NY State who are committed to studying in a STEM filed (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Details can be found at www.oswego.edu/possibility Complete an application for admission to SUNY Oswego as a freshman for the fall by January 1.
Obtain a Possibility Scholarship nomination/ letter of recommendation from an educator at your school. This nominationis due by February 15. Send this directly to Oswego. Demonstrate high potential for success in a STEM field based on your school grades, and SAT or ACT scores. Document high financial need as demonstrated by the(FAFSA. (due by Feb. 15). Preference is given to first- generation college students who plan to live on campus all four years.
