PHCS Hurricane Relief Competition

Each classroom will be competing to collect as many dollars or as much spare change as possible to provide hurricane/disaster relief.  Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated!

Collection will take place from September 11-September 22, 2017.

This is a great opportunity to encourage students to develop a spirit of giving and generosity and to understand that “Other People Matter,” the foundation of the Positivity Project.

Junior Scholarships

If you are interested in one or more of these Junior Scholarships, please let Ms. Scudder or Mrs. McGregor know. Many scholarships require the applicants to be nominated by Ms. Scudder. All students wanting to be nominated MUST write an essay explaining why you would like the nomination, and why it should be given to you. (You may ask for several different nominations if you meet the qualifications!) Good luck!

School Budget Re-Vote: June 16, 2015, 1pm until 8pm

School Budget Re-Vote: June 16, 2015 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Auditorium

Dear Parents and Residents,

As you may know, on May 19th, the voters of the school district voted 88-79 in favor of the proposed school budget. However, the close margin of approval failed to meet the 60% approval rate that is mandated under the State’s “Tax Cap” law. As such, the school district was left with two options. The first option would be moving the district directly to a contingent budget that would maintain the same tax levy amount as in the 2014-2015 school budget. The second option is to return to the public for a second vote. At a special Budget Meeting of the Board of Education on May 28th, the Board approved a second vote on the proposed 2015-2016 School District budget, in an effort to maintain the excellent educational programs here at the school, and to place the school in a positive financial direction that ensures our future.

June 2015 Examination Schedule

Students in grades 7 – 12 only come to school if they have a test on these days.
There will be morning, mid-day, and afternoon bus runs. Students must sign up for the bus in the main office.
